GRAPE PUDDING

The actual name is “Moustalevria” and we make this pudding every August, when we collect our grapes to make wine. When using fresh grape, we need to cook it with firewood ash for a while before cooking it. You can try it at home with some fresh juicy grapes!

3 glasses of grape juice

1 tbsp white flour or corn flour

1 cup walnuts half crashed

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp sesame

– Put grape juice with flour in a pot and stir well
– Turn heat on and cook in medium fire until you get a thick pudding. Stirring is essential during this time!
– Add walnuts, mix well and served in small ice cream bowls.
– Add cinnamon and sesame

*If you make grape juice from stratch, cook it with a tbsp of firewood ash for about 10 minutes. Strain it through a kitchel towel so that ash is fully removed.
